The Accommodation at La Maison Rose
Our approach to running our Chambre d’Hote is very simple. We offer our guests a comfortable, relaxed and inexpensive stay whether for one night or longer. We want you to feel at home and enjoy a delightful stay in a traditional Lot farmhouse close to the heart of the Lot Valley.
We have tried to retain the charm and character of our home and have equipped the rooms with a variety of French furnishings. We aim to be different and hope you will come back again to visit us year after year. Your hosts Mark and Fiona welcome you to come and stay with us and enjoy this tranquil part of France.
La Maison Rose offers four stylish bedrooms. Two double bedrooms, one quad bedroom and one twin bedroom. All bedrooms have either en-suite or bath/shower rooms. Each bedroom has been newly refurbished for guest comfort. Tea/coffee facilities, linen and bath towels are provided free for guest use. We welcome families and have a high chair and a cot available for guests with young children.
Breakfast is served in our Sun terrace room and can accommodate eight people with ease. From here guests can enjoy views over our fields and across to the upper terrace and swimming pool. There are some excellent restaurants in and around Prayssac.
Here at La Maison Rose we offer half board evening meals consisting of four courses, including wine and coffee, served in our Dining room. Join us for an apéritif before dînner. The cost is 25 euros per head. All meals are prepared using local produce when possible. We can cater for vegetarians and people with special dietary requirements subject to avanced notice. Tea and coffee are provided free in each of the rooms and we do not charge for towels and extra bedding.
For guests who wish to stay in we have a comfortable Living room with English/French TV, DVD/VCR for those who wish to watch latest movies and, for guests staying in the colder months, a large log fire.
The Rose Room
The Rose room is one of our principal bedrooms, ideal for couples and special occasions such as anniversaries and honeymooners. This recently refurbished and comfortable room comprises a queen size four poster bed, large double wardrobe with drawer space, bedside tables with lamps, tea/coffee table, chest of drawers, comfortable chair and windows to two aspects overlooking local countryside. En-suite bathroom with bath/shower, hand wash basin and W.C.
The Sunflower Room
The Sunflower room is a large quad bedroom comprising a double bed and two single beds. This makes the room ideal as a family room or suitable for a group of friends. The Sunflower room is one of two Grenier chambres, the other being the Bluebell room. There is a new en-suite Shower room, comprising hand wash basin, W.C. and towel unit. The room comprises Double wardrobe, two chest of drawers, exposed beams, comfortable seating, bedside tables with lamps, tea /coffee table and velux window.
The Bluebell Room
The Bluebell room is the other Grenier chambre and is opposite the Sunflower Room. This is a twin bedroom, double wardrobe, twin chest of drawers, comfortable seating, exposed beams. This room has it's own seperate new shower room, comprising of a hand a wash basin, W.C. and towel unit, bedside tables with lamps, mosquito bed nets, tea/coffee table and velux window.
The Lavender Room
The Lavender room is our second principal bedroom now fitted with a new four poster bed, ideal for couples or those celebrating an anniversary. The room has views to open fields and hills, double wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps, tea/coffee table, comfortable chair. Seperate W.C, en-suite bath/shower room with hand wash basin and heated towel rail.
